Nigeria will be hosting the next
Regional Conference of Inter-Governmental Committee for Physical Education and
Sports, CIGEPS.
This disclosure was made by
the minister of Sports and chairman of the National Sports Commission, NSC,
Bolaji Abdullaji this afternoon at the meeting of the Ministers in Charge of
Sports in Supreme Council for Sports in Africa, SCSA in Abuja.
Abdullahi said the CIGEPS
will take place between 5th and 6th of March, 2013.
He however disclosed that the
CIGEPS meeting in Abuja is to discuss the preliminary draft by the Programme
Committee of MINEPS for submission to the extra-ordinary session of CIGEPS
holding in Baku, Azerbaijan from March 13-15, 2013.
CIGEPS was established in
1978 to promote the role and value of sport and its inclusion in public policy.
