Posters being pasted on the wall |
The Department of Development Control, Abuja Metropolitan
Management Council (AMMC) has warned residents of Federal Capital Territory
(FCT) who deface the city with posters, banners and billboards to disease from
it or be ready to face the penalties.
This warning was given by the deputy director
of Aesthetics and Amenities, Arc. Adamu Abuja in his office yesterday.
He said the pasting of posters, billboards
and banners indiscriminately is mostly caused by political & religious
bodies, and it has posed a great challenge to city management.
Arc Abuja said that removal of posters by the
Department has been on for long to the extent that a pressure machine has been
acquired to enhance the removal process.

made on the need to penalize & punish defaulters who mount posters,

takes effect.
