Dariye tasks journalists on objective reporting

Senator Joshua Dariye
Former governor of Plateau state, Senator Joshua Dariye has called on journalists across the country to be objective in their reportage.
He made this call after the Kano state stakeholders meeting with the minister of works, Arc Mike Onolememen at the Works headquarters, Abuja.
Dariye said we have no other country than Nigeria and we cannot afford to destroy it. He stressed that if we leave the country for another country, we remain second-hand citizen.
Dariye warned that we cannot enjoy what the citizens of the country are enjoying hence the need to join hands with government to build the country.
He said his mission to the ministry of Works is on a solidarity visit on Senator Bashir Mohammed on the Kundila bridge project and the Panyam road project in his state.
“The media must criticize government objectively because most of the news we hear are alarming. It scares investors and where we need to woo people; we woo them because if you go to Saudi Arabia, or America, you will not find your pounded-yam, eba, egusi soup and others.
“Most of the people that go there are second-class citizens. You talk about their weather, it is not conducive. Everybody said it is Goodluck, what is Goodluck, he is the combination of my effort and your efforts.”
