… ‘Drogba’, Segun, 25 others battle ready, tackle

Chairman, Barr Gambo Saleh has called on players and Technical Crew of the team
to go all out and reclaim their spot in the Nigeria National League, NNL even
as they gear up to take up Neighbours, Wazobia Football Club of Abuja in their
first Nigeria Nation-wide league game, this season.
Saleh
who gave the charge while speaking to the team on Thursday in Abuja maintained
that the task of gaining back promotion to the Nigeria National League was
non-negotiable.
He
further noted that the management would unleash full support to the club in
their quest to re-launch themselves the path of victory again.
According
to him; “We are away of the challenges the team is passing due to the current
economic realities but we are not giving up. As a management, we will continue
to strategize in order to guarantee steady support to the club.”
Also speaking, General
Manager, Tolulope Oguntimehin remarked that a total overhaul of both players
and technical officials has been carried out in the team as part of effort
geared towards repositioning the team.
He equally told the players
that no form of laxity would be entertained.
Already, Former Heartland
tactician, Erasmus Onu has been drafted as the Technical Adviser while Henry
Haggai is the Chief Coach.
Meanwhile,
no fewer than 27 players including only five of the old players Paul Samson
(Drogba), Hilary Nkaru, Segun Odegbile, Rilwan Alaba and Caleb Rugasa are
battle ready to face any opposition after weeks of plummeting and intense
training sessions coupled with series of friendly matches were activated.
Majority
of the existing players who joined newly and will be on parade as the season
progresses include Idoga Douglas, Uche Ngwu, Stephen Bako, Stephen Bernard, Yau
Aliu Adam, Abdulkadir Sadiq, Musa Munir, Bin Yusuf Jibril, Uche Chibueze, Bawa
Umaru, Anthony Ubochi, Chukwuma Uduji.
Others
are Anas Abdullahi, Mohammed Mubarak, Anthony Michael, Joseph Enoch, Donatus
Goja, Abu Anofi, ThankGod Ikeagwu, Promise Uzoagba and Jabar Anifowoshe.
