NFF, NNL ban Onigbinde, others

The Disciplinary Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF has banned the coach of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC for the rest of the season.
At its meeting held at the Bolton White Hotel, Abuja yesterday, the Disciplinary Committee ruled that Coach Onigbinde remain suspended until the end of the season.
FRSC FC is also fined the sum of One Million Naira Only (N1,000,000) for assault on Match Officials on the field of play and it must be paid on or before 25th May 2017.
Safety Strikers FC as the FRSC team is club will also play its next home Match behind closed doors in line with Rules 27 of the League in completion of the sanction.
 The body also ruled that seven players of the FRSC FC who took part in the assault on Match Officials shall remain suspended until the conclusion of the first half of the season.
Federal Capital Territory, FCT Football Association is also advised to live up to its responsibilities by ensuring adequate security of Match Officials, before, during and after every game.
Other decision taken in the matter between Ikorodu United FC Vs. Nnewi United FC is that hearing notices should be served on all parties.
In the matter between Abia Comets FC Vs. Akwa Starlets FC, the Committee ruled that the lone prayer by Abia Comets FC lacks merit and was dismissed. It reprimands Abia Comets FC Welfare Officer, Mr Jude Agbala for his conduct and behavior capable of inciting fans against Match Officials which is in breach of Rules 23.1 of NNL Rules, 2017.
Akwa Starlets FC is also reprimanded for not ensuring proper conduct of their players in breach of Rules 2.5.1 of the Rules.
 While in the case of the match between Akwa Starlets FC Vs. Bayelsa United FC, the Committee declined jurisdiction to hear the protest.
 Lastly, in the matter between Akwa Starlets FC Vs. Warri Wolves FC, the committee fined Akwa Starlets Fc the sum of One Million Naira Only (N1,000,000) for assault on Match Officials in breach of Rule 22.9 of the Rules.
 It also directed Akwa Starlets to produce the assailants within two (2) weeks from the date of this decision, failure to do so, attracts a further fine of One Million Naira Only (N1,000,000).
 The committee also warned Akwa Ibom Football Association for the last time to ensure that adequate and effective security is provided before, during and after every Match in its domain.
 The committee members include Prof. Olufemi Adegbola Adegbesan (Vice Chairman), Chike Onyeacho, Esq. (Member), Adamu Sani Osmond, Esq. (Member), Damon Dashe Esq, (Member), Kelvin C. Omuojine, Esq. (Member), Queen Otarakpo, Esq. (Secretary).
