Almar emerges Ogun FA Cup champions

Almar football club of Ijebu-Ode, emerged as champions of the Ogun State Federation Cup, for the first time in the club history.

Almar, who was runners up to Gateway United football club, in last year's edition, lifted the trophy by defeating hard fighting JCTC football club of Abeokuta 1-0.
The only goal of the match was scored in the 63rd minute, while the two teams will now represent the State, at the National Federation Cup.
However, Remo Stars Football Club Senior team had to dig deep, to defeat its Feeders team, in a thrilling third place match.
Remo Stars Feeders took the lead in the second half, before the senior team equalised from the penalty spot later on.
The senior team eventually won 5-4 on penalties, after 7 penalty kicks.
The two matches were played at the MKO Abiola International Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta.
