NSCDC Boss conferred as Sarkin Yakin Nupe

The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has been turbaned as Sarkin Yakin of Nupe Kingdom.
During the turbanning at the Etsu Nupe palace in Bida, Niger state, the Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Yahaya Abubakar CFR, said, “I am very proud of the character of the sons and daughters of Nupe Kingdom. Anytime you hear of the male or female, Christian or Muslim, is always of good tidings.”
His Royal Majesty noted, that Gana is an illustrious son of the Nupe Kingdom who has distinguished himself in the service of his fatherland Nigeria, and therefore, is worthy of the honour bestowed on him as the Sarkin Yakin of Nupe Kingdom.
In the same vein, the former Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Professor Ade Abolurin thanked the Etsu Nupe for honouring the citizens of Nupe Kingdom and Nigeria, to stimulate them to contribute and work more not only for Niger state, but for Nigeria.
Abolurin highlighted that the occasion is historic because Niger state has been producing and has produced a very worthy personality in the paramilitary even the NSCDC, his successor, Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu.
Professor Abolurin congratulated his successor for distinguishing himself in the service of his fatherland. He admonished Gana to do more. According to him, “To whom much is given much is expected, from now on you should see yourself as the helper of the people. You should also see to it that you support the Etsu Nupe in the administration of his Kingdom,” he adviced.
The new Sarkin Yakin (The Warlord of the Nupe Kingdom), Gana Muhammadu, thanked the Almighty God for honouring him amongst his people in Bida, Niger State. He promised to work for the good of all mankind.
