FRSC arrest Kaduna Utd in Abuja



It was a sweet victory for the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC otherwise known as Safety Strikers as they defeated their opponent, Kaduna United by 1-0.
The match which was played at the Area 3 football pitch on Saturday saw Ibukun Ojo grabbing the only goal of the match in the 89 minutes.

Reacting after the match, chief coach of Kaduna United, Sunday Bege said the FRSC team is a good side but commended his team for giving them a good fight. He also applauded the referees who he claimed handled the officiating of the match well.
On the other hand, the winning coach, Onigbinde Akinade said he is not too satisfy with the performance of his boys but commended them for a job well done. He noted, “We will go back to the drawing board to correct all the mistakes we noted in the team which are mainly the midfield and the attack.”


In the other match played on Friday, another FCT-based team, FC Abuja played a goalless draw against Mighty Jets of Jos. The EFCC-side wasted so many scoring chances but their goalkeeper’s wonderful performance ensured that they maintained a clean sheet.
Meanwhile, the Area 3 pitch was agog with celebration after the match. According to one of the jubilant Plateau fans, Solomon Nalung said, “The goalless draw is better than losing in Abuja. In fact, this is as good as getting the three points at stake.”
