Bishop Oyedepo, President Winners |
Living Faith Church, otherwise known
as Winners’Chapel, on Saturday distributed welfare packages in form of clothes,
shoes, food items to residents of Nyanya, Gbagalape and its environs in Abuja.
Residents who trooped out in their
numbers to the crusade ground at the Ave-Maria Open Field, Gbagalape
road, Phase IV in Nyanya, expressed appreciation to the church and want the
gesture to be a continuous one.
Meanwhile, Pastor Nathaniel Omale,
who stood in for the Provincial Pastor, Dr. Daniel Rotimi preached on the
theme: “Miracles Are Real,” in Acts 10:38.
He said every believer is supposed
to experience miracles in his or her life but the fall of Adam has caused man
to lose it but since Jesus redeemed us, miracles have been restored to man and
they are real. “If there are no miracles around you, it simply means that it is
because you are far away from God,” he noted.
Pastor Omale however advised that
miracles can be a reality in one’s life if only we identify with Jesus Christ,
the Lord and Saviour.
Meanwhile, the organizers of the
crusade, Deacons Samuel Garuba, Simeon Etuh and Alli Olaniyi of Phase IV,
District 1, II, & III of the Winners Satellite Fellowship of the Living
Faith Church, Nyanya, said they are emulating Jesus Christ who went about doing
good; proclaiming the gospel and also giving to the poor.
The event also witnessed prayers for
the sick, free medical check-ups for everyone present. Some of the check-ups
carried out are Hepatitis A & B, High Blood Pressure, HIV test, Blood Sugar
Level, amongst others.
The crusade is the second in two
weeks, in fulfillment of the mandate of the “Operation Andrew”, that is to win
souls for Christ. Another one has been scheduled to take place in Mararaba on
Saturday, April 20, 2013.
