The duo of Eden Hazard
and Juan Mata of Chelsea Football Club has been shortlisted for the Professional
Footballers' Association Player of the Year award.
Also on the radar are Luis
Suarez, Gareth Bale, Robin Van Persie and Michael Carrick to complete the six
for the award.

Bale and Hazard are
also up for the Young Player of the Year award, along with Christian Benteke,
Romelu Lukaku, Danny Welbeck and Jack Wilshere.

Bale won the main award
in 2011 aged 21, while Van Persie won last year’s edition.
This year marks the
40th anniversary of the award, first won by Norman Hunter of Leeds United. The
winner will be announced on 28 April.
