Governor of Delta state, Uduaghan explaining something to the team
One of the journalists, who confided in our correspondent, alleged that the minister always collect the largesse meant for the journalists, an action which does not go down well with the 'men with pen'.
He gave instance in Jos, Plateau state when they went to inspect a road construction by the Federal Ministry of Works.
Our source said when the ministry was not forthcoming about the largesse, Labaran asked his counterpart, the minister of State for Works, Amb. Bashir Yuguda about the largesse and pocket the money.
He also disclosed that when they went to some states in the East and southern parts of the country, the minister collected the money meant for journalists. He said some of his colleagues were contemplating confronting him on the largesse but the respect they have for him as a minister is what is causing the barrier.
It would be recalled that the Edo state governor, Adams Oshiomhole recently accused the minister of presenting him a proposal to sponsor his State’s Good Governance Tour which he turned down.
Many analysts have also condemned the activities of the minister of Information who they claimed is wasting tax payers’ money to fund a wasteful venture. Political Platform crew on AIT said if he is supposed to tour any project, it should be restricted to federal government projects.
