Former president of the Nigeria Football
Federation, NFF, Alhaji Sani Lulu has opened a can of worm by telling Nigerians to ask the football
house led by Aminu Maigari to account for the whereabouts of the fund meant for the construction of the
just-commissioned building.

The quantity surveyor claimed that his board
initiated the project, did the architectural drawings and others; and they were
keeping the money for the construction of the secretariat with the World
Football Governing Body, FIFA, before they left office.
He said since the PTF had eventually
constructed the building, that means the money set aside for the building was
not used hence the need for Nigerians to ask the present board what they did
with the money.
Sani Lulu however refused to comment further
on how much money and what happened to the money. “I was the originator of this
project. Physically, this project started in 2006, when I became the NFF
president and we saw the light and the land given to us by the then minister of
Sports, Engr Bala Ka’oje, who gave us the site.
“So we commenced the project, so we were
saving money to FIFA to ensure that we complete the project. We have almost
completed the design and everything up to the point I left but I am happy that
the project has been completed by PTF,” he concluded.
