The world football governing body, FIFA is keenly interested in the match fixing involving four Nigerian clubsides.
We heard on good authority that FIFA called in while the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF committee set up to look into the matter were meeting in the afternoon at the NFF secretariat. The international media are also not left out as they kept calling on daily basis.
FIFA President, Blatter
This has sent jilter to the Glass House, (NFF secretariat), as the officials were seen running helter skelter, from post to pillars to ensure that they come out with a satisfactory reports for the world body.
It would be recalled that that FIFA issued a statement on the issue and is currently monitoring to see how the NFF handles the matter. According to statement, “FIFA also recognises that the issue is "firstly" an internal matter.
“The matter is firstly the responsibility of the Nigerian Football (Federation). Therefore FIFA is currently monitoring the situation and waiting for action taken by the Nigerian (federation)” FIFA stated.

It would be recalled that Plateau United Feeders defeated Akurba FC while Police Machine defeated Bubayaro FC by outrageous scorelines of 79-0 and 67-0 respectively last weekend to produce 146 goals, the second highest after the match in Madagascar which ended 149.
