Advertisement for the position of General Manager/Chief Operating Officer


Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) is the body responsible for the administration and control of cricket in Nigeria, an Associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC). It requires the services of a suitably qualified General Manager/Chief Operating Officer that will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the organization.
The position reports to the Board through the President of the Nigeria Cricket
Federation.
Key Selection Criteria:
*Minimum of First Degree (B.A) Arts or (B.SC) Social Sciences or HND, complemented with minimum of 5 years proven experience in a similar capacity.
* Excellent Communication Skills.
* Excellent People Management Skills.
* Ability to set individual and group goals.
* Display an in-depth knowledge of the game.
* Possess leadership qualities, to be able to lead by example
* Must be computer literate.

Responsibilities:
1. Coordination of the strategic planning of NCF while constantly
reviewing its continued adequacy and its effective implementation
2. Coordination all NCF activities, through the effective delegation of responsibilities and duties, to ensure efficient operations, management
effectiveness and achievement of corporate objectives
3. Coordination of the programmes of the organization, including its
annual budgets and capital spending
4. Marketing and relationship management of the organization to maintain
old relationships and win new ones
6. Coordination of the business ventures of the Federation
7. Responsible for planning and management of the organisation's human
resources to achieve enhanced productivity, staff development, motivation
and retention
8. Overseeing the development and manage the corporate image to the public
and communication of NCF’s corporate values to staff and ensure adherence
9. Driving the development programme of the organization and ensuring
impact
10. Responsible for the supervision of all departments to ensure compliance with the goals of NCF
11. Liaising with, ICC, ACA, National Sports Commission, State
Associations, Sponsors and other related sporting bodies on issues relevant
to NCF’s business operations
12. Overseeing the establishment and effective functioning of bodies such
as EXCO and other committees to ensure that they effectively drive the
organization's strategic objectives
13. Monitoring overall customer/stakeholders’ service delivery to ensure
efficiency and customer/stakeholders satisfaction
Remuneration and terms on the contract are negotiable based on experience
and what you will bring to the role and the NCF.
